Man, THIS IS THE BOMB! Why don't you make comics and Topps trading cards out of this! I'd buy it. I'd buy in a heart beat! Good thing she keeps the lake bed clean, nice environmental mermaid!

Nice design. Simple and clean, with cool, sensible colors. I really like the overall look of her.

Perhaps some shadows are in order on the long, flowy part of her body, and it feels like something is missing from the background, maybe some bubbles or a very subtle texture would give it some pop.

That's an interesting idea, a mermaid that adapted to her surroundings. Nice concept!

A very pretty gutter fish.

What I like about this is how you've given a sort of warts-and-all take on a fish woman, yet still made it pleasant. If you've lived for a moderate length of time with fins, they're going to be tattered. And the lake has trash in it, but you've still made the picture attractive, with no sense of repulsion in it. Very splendid job.

If I had to give crits, I'd say that she could look a little scalier - the parts out of the pole's shadow look more like a dolphinish texture. Also, what's a full-time-underwater dweller doing with eyelids?

Besides that, this picture's great.
