Sounds cool, and I really like the stag beetle character! :)
Pixar could do well to do something like this. Their new movie Kung Fu Panda looks funny, but doesn't have much of a plot if the trailer is any guide. Bug Fighting could have two plots, about the people who own and train the bugs, and then the trials and tribulations of the bugs themselves.
Definitely looking foreword to it.

Awsome artwork as usual. Yeah that website is awsome, Rhinos and stags are the best. Look up some stuff on the hercules beetles and the infamous Titan Beetle (Titanis Gigantius).
