I was thinking of putting together a Sketch Book*, and I have a few questions.

*The printed kind of sketch books, that I see artist sell around here

1) How many pages are they usually?

2) What kinda stuff goes in them? Full color, pencil sketches?

3) Who do you use to print it?

4) Should I draw brand new shit for it? OR

5)Should I put in stuff I have online? Would that even sell, picture anyone can get for free online?

OR both maybe? Half and Half?

6) Would anyone even BUY it?

7) What would be a good price?

ALSO updated my website, check it out [link]

I would make it 25 pages (so 50 pages total front and back).

I'd recommend a forward. Where you tell us a bit about you, and your work.... where you get your ideas / concepts from...

I'd start with all of your color work, and in the last part of the sketch-book show us your pencil sketches, thumbnails, and roughs.

Don't know how much work you want to put into it. But I really like the idea of a few pages explaining techniques, ideas for the visuals you've come up with. Or just a way to express yourself.

If you put together a really nice book, it can also serve as an addition to your portfolio... (tracking the sales for it would also help with the portfolio )

I know With what I have up on deviant this may sound like I don't know what I am talking about.... but I just haven't had the time to really put any of my new stuff up there...

Your style is VERY expressive, and clean. your very good with colors....

I would definately buy a conceot art / sketch book from you.

Good Luck!

Ey, I would buy one of your sketch books. I've seen a few sketch books, and alot of times they're 20-50 dollars. Personally, I think it would be cool, if it had a mix of styles. But you could do one full color, and another with lines.

I can't give you any advice on putting it together but as far as selling, I'd certainly buy one.
You should consider taking advantage of the local conventions to get the word out. I think in the next few months Yasumicon, Chibipop and Florida Supercon are all going to be in town.
Theres also Tate's Comics, they support alot of local artists, it probably wouldn't take much convincing to get them to carry your book.
Good luck!

1) Depends on how much you wanna spend/ charge. Shoot for about 50 or more.

2) Mostly pencils. But do throw some color corks in there.

3) Try Zulu. I've heard good things about them, and their print on demand.

4) Yeah, draw some new stuff. And...

5)Yes, put some stuff that you have online.

6)Yeah. People love to physically own things. Well, I do anyways.

7) Again depends on the page count.

people wll pay for for it regardless, but you should do half and half.

and I think you should do full color and around 40 - 50 pages. (but totally put some b/w and sketches in there too if you can)
